    • 2. The Living Labs can contribute to the Lisbon Strategy 2.1 objectives. How? <ul><li>Creation of a need for innovation by encouraging experimenting in an “laboratory” environment (beta culture creation). </li></ul><ul><li>Accelerating innovativeness by eCollaboration of the individuals in business, government and research organizations. </li></ul><ul><li>Expanding knowledge sharing by involving numerous individuals into the co-creation o f products, solutions or services (the knowledge is where the people are). </li></ul><ul><li>Improving a cross-border cooperation within the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL). </li></ul><ul><li>Enhancing the EU competitiveness by bringing together the ICT research, development and usage. </li></ul>
    • 3. Living Lab: Concept, Environment, Mechanism A Living Lab is an environment in which researchers, developers and users cooperate with the common objective of delivering a tested product, solution or service respecting the users’ requirements and in a shortest time possible. The environment may be a city, a region within a country, an industry, a supply chain or a whole country. The cooperation of companies, government organizations, universities and other research institutions in an accelerated implementation of ICT-powered solutions & services may be considered a big, broadly conceptualized laboratory .
