Samos Island – Greece
Samos is a Greek island in the North Aegean sea, south of Chios, north of Patmos and the Dodecanese, and
off the Ionian coast of Turkey.
The island is the location of the joint UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Heraion of Samos and the
Pythagoreion which were inscribed in UNESCO's World Heritage list in 1992
