  • 3. than tongue or pen can ever tell;
  • 4. it goes beyond the highest star
  • 5. and reaches to the lowest hell.
  • 6. Could we with ink the ocean fill,
  • 7. and were the skies of parchment made,
  • 8. were every stalk on earth a quill,
  • 9. and every man a scribe by trade,
  • 10. to write the love of God above,
  • 11. would drain the ocean dry.
  • 12. Nor could the scroll contain the whole,

  • 16. neither angels

  • 23. nor anything else in all creation,
  • 24. will be able to separate us from the love of God
  • 25. that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
