God Is Our Gardener1I am the true grapevine, and myFather is the gardener. 2 He cuts offevery branch of mine that doesn’tproduce fruit, and he prunes thebranches that do bear fruit so they willproduce even more.
Pruned to Be Fruitful3 You have already been pruned andpurified by the message I have givenyou. 4 Remain in me, and I will remain inyou. For a branch cannot produce fruitif it is severed from the vine, and youcannot be fruitful unless you remain inme.
Remaining in Jesus5 Yes, I am the vine; you are thebranches. Those who remain in me, andI in them, will produce much fruit. Forapart from me you can do nothing. 6Anyone who does not remain in me isthrown away like a useless branch andwithers. Such branches are gatheredinto a pile to be burned.
Bearing Fruit for God’s Glory7But if you remain in me and my wordsremain in you, you may ask for anythingyou want, and it will be granted! 8When you produce much fruit, you aremy true disciples. This brings great gloryto my Father.
