  3. 3. Lesson 1.2 <ul><li>In this lesson, you will learn about the peer evaluation process. </li></ul><ul><li>You will prepare to participate by </li></ul><ul><ul><li>creating a Googledocs account. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>creating your personal peer evaluation form. </li></ul></ul>

Why Peer Evaluation? <ul><li>Individual accountability and group communication are key factors for effective collaboration. </li></ul><ul><li>You and your teammates will evaluate one another weekly in an open forum via Googledocs. </li></ul><ul><li>This process enables your team to identify and resolve potential problems. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Peer Evaluation Names <ul><li>You will create your own form, where each group member will be listed, including you (see My Name ). </li></ul>
  6. 6. Peer Evaluation of Self <ul><li>You will rate yourself weekly on your own form . </li></ul>
  7. 7. Evaluation from Others <ul><li>By giving form access to your peers, they will access your form and rate you also . </li></ul>
  8. 8. Weekly Completion <ul><li>When your form displays an “x” above each name for the week, your form is complete. </li></ul>x x x x x

Access to Peer Forms <ul><li>Just as you will set up your form, your teammates will do the same. </li></ul><ul><li>On a weekly basis, you will: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Access each form </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Enter ratings for your teammates in the column under your name </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Enter an “x” above your name. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Let’s review form criteria and scoring. </li></ul>
  10. 10. Form Criteria <ul><li>You and your peers will rate each other using the criteria highlighted below. </li></ul>
  11. 11. Form Rating Scale <ul><li>Use the rating scale highlighted below. You may enter a rating within these ranges also (e.g. 75, 85, 95). </li></ul>
  12. 12. Rating Comments <ul><li>When you enter a rating, you have the option to add a comment. Simply right-click on the cell and select Insert Comment . </li></ul>
  13. 13. Weekly Comments <ul><li>Lastly, on your own form , you will add weekly comments about team progress and opportunities. </li></ul>
