    • 3.  Google Analytics is a free statistics tracking and analysis service that allows web site administrators to analyze traffic flow on a web site. Although most hosting solutions come with similar software, it may not be as easily understood or as easily navigated as Google Analytics. One of the more impressive features of Google Analytics is the ability to flag certain pages as “goals.” This is specifically beneficial to e-commerce web sites. However, regardless of the purpose of a web site, Google Analytics can help make that web site better.
    • 4.  One of the biggest advantages Google Analytics provides over other analysis software is ease of use. With a few clicks, you can define any range of dates from which statistics can be viewed. You can also easily navigate from general data to more specific data. Everything from bounce rates to conversion rates (how many visitors reach the goal) can be easily found by a few clicks. Google Analytics can also help you understand each report that you see. Helpful tips can be viewed at the bottom right hand corner of many pages that give short descriptions of the data included in the report and sometimes even what the numbers could mean for your web site. • 12.  Google Analytics is a service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about a website's traffic and traffic sources and measures conversions and sales. The product is aimed at marketers as opposed to webmasters and technologists from which the industry of web analytics originally grew. It's the most widely used website statistics service.  The basic service is free of charge and a premium version is available for a fee.  Google Analytics can track visitors from all referrers, including search engines and social networks, direct visits and referring sites. It also displays advertising, pay-per-click networks, email marketing and digital collateral such as links within PDF documents.
    • 13.  Integrated with AdWords, users can now review online campaigns by tracking landing page quality and conversions (goals). Goals might include sales, lead generation, viewing a specific page, or downloading a particular file.  Google Analytics' approach is to show high- level, dashboard-type data for the casual user, and more in-depth data further into the report set. Google Analytics analysis can identify poorly performing pages with techniques such as funnel visualization, where visitors came from (referrers), how long they stayed and their geographical position. It also provides more advanced features, including custom visitor segmentation.
    • 14.  Google Analytics e-commerce reporting can track sales activity and performance. The e-commerce reports shows a site's transactions, revenue, and many other commerce-related metrics.  Google Analytics launched Real Time analytics as of September 29, 2011.  A user can have 50 site profiles. Each profile generally corresponds to one website. It is limited to sites which have a traffic of fewer than 5 million pageviews per month (roughly 2 pageviews per second), unless the site is linked to an AdWords campaign.
    • 15.  You can use Analytics to track a variety of web-based content.  Tracking multiple websites Google Analytics will track as many websites as you own! We've provided multiple reporting views in your account, so you can view individual reports for specific domains or sub domains.  Tracking your blog, MySpace, or Facebook pages To use Google Analytics to track your pages on Facebook, MySpace, WordPress or other solutions, we recommend that you search for 3rd-party widgets that simplify the Analytics set up for pre-defined site templates. You may not be able to use Analytics on sites where you cannot edit the page code (such as on MySpace, for example). However, often you will be able to find plugin or widgets that will help you use Analytics in your page.
    • 16.  Tracking traffic from RSS feeds In order for Google Analytics to track data, it is necessary that the Google Analytics tracking code gets executed. Since most RSS/atom readers cannot execute JavaScript, Analytics will not count pageviews that are loaded through an RSS reader. Analytics requires that the user execute a JavaScript file on Google's servers in order to track that pageviews.  Using Analytics with other web analytics solutions You can run Google Analytics in parallel with any third-party or internal solution you've already deployed.
