    2. Overview
      • The global coverage of cellular networks is the most dense of all wireless technologies currently employed.
      • GloPos is a software-only positioning technology that uses novel algorithms to calculate an accurate position also in places where no Wi-Fi (W-LAN) access points are available or no GPS signals can be used.
      • Such places can be for example malls, underground parking halls, shopping centers, airports, exhibition centers etc.

    3. Components & Architechture
      • The GloPos positioning is achieved solely based on Cell Tower information with novel data modeling and positioning algorithms .
      • The patent pending GloPos technology works anywhere where GSM/CDMA cells available. The technology can be separated into two parts, the mobile end and the server end.
      • The mobile end provides the needed information to allow for the GloPos Technology to calculate an accurate position
      • The server can be located in any network suitable for serving data over GSM/CDMA networks. Using the Cell Tower data the GloPos Technology server calculates a position accurate to within 1 – 40 meters with a high level of confidence.

      • GloPos Technology constantly delivers a highly accurate position outdoors, indoors and even underground.

    6. Power Consumption
      • To conserve handset battery power, GPS-enabled handsets only turn on the GPS when a position request is made  Applications cannot be kept always on
      • The power consumption of the GloPos Technology is minimal compared to other technologies relying on W-LAN or GPS.
