  2. 2. To find a resource, simply do a search, for example: Subject (eg Citizenship ) Theme (eg Fair trade ) Age Range (eg 11-14 ) Price Range (eg Free )
  3. 3. Click on the search results to get further details about each resource. Full ordering details are provided for each resource, or direct links to their website.
  4. 4. This shows the results from another search, this time on ‘ climate change ’ for ages 5-7 .
  5. 5. You can also do an ‘ advanced search ’ to narrow down your focus, or if you’re looking for a particular title or publisher .
  6. 6. There are a range of articles looking at particular global themes in greater detail and discussing how they can be taught .
  7. 7. The site also includes a wealth of background material about the ‘global dimension’ and how it links in with the school curriculum .
  8. 8. It provides information about linking with a school in another country ; the support available; and what things to consider to make your link a success .
  9. 9. Case studies show how other teachers have developed the global dimension both within lessons and across the whole school.
  10. 10. The website also links you up to the support available in your local area to help you ‘ bring the world into your teaching ’.
  11. 11. There’s a list of organisations who can supply free speakers for ‘global’ assemblies and lessons .
  12. 12. The website also has a ‘ global calendar ’ to enable you to plan lessons and activities around different days and weeks with global significance .
  13. 13. And you can sign up for a regular termly e-newsletter , ‘The Globe’ to keep informed about site updates, news and resources with a global theme.
