    • Objectives• To create a platform for local and global youth to represent themselves and express their ideas for social change• To dialogue and discuss about the three themes of the Assembly• To create a sense of brotherhood among the participating nations• To make room for a cultural exchange among the youth of the participating nations
    • Workshops•Theme-based workshops, talks and panel discussionsconducted by experts in the fields•Discussion by the youth of various countries addressing thefollowing1. The Right to Education2. Green Technology and Ecological Sustainability3. Woman and Youth Empowerment – Creating a platform for their voices
    • Youth-led Development ProgramsPast Programs –• 2010 Bangalore Campus Climate Champions• 2011 Bangalore MDG Champion
    • The 2012 Social Impact Awards• Themes –1. Educate to Empower2. Environmental Sustainability3. Advocacy and Empowerment4. Health5. Community Development6. Adequate Housing• A group of 3 – 5 students make detailed proposals of a social initiative based on one of the six themes• Based on online votes and a panel of experts’ decision at the Global Citizens Youth Assembly, 6 projects will be chosen to be implemented with a funding of INR 10,000 to INR 25,000• Three of the chosen projects will be from Bangalore teams, and three from other parts of India
    • YOU(th), Us and DevelopmentAn NGO Job Fair for students• Through this program, students can explore their options to volunteer, intern and work at various Non- Governmental Organizations from around Bangalore.• Various NGOs from around Bangalore city will participate and open up opportunities for the youth from around India to work with them.
