PURPOSE OF THE COURSE:<br />Prepare committed individuals as facilitators of learning for a diverse world, using the constructivist model of teaching<br />Following minimum state standards are addressed:<br />Educational technology including the use of computer and other technologies in instruction, assessment and professional productivity<br />National Education Technology Standards for Teachers are also addressed<br />

READINGS AND SUPPLIES:<br />Most Readings will be supplied online<br />Students are required to download and print certain tutorials and articles <br />Live Text E-portfolio Software<br />Materials:  <br />A USB flash drive<br />Free Accounts: Diigo & Google accounts <br />Paid Subscription: QuestGarden- 2 years for $20<br />Headphones, microphone, and digital camera optional.<br />

LEARNER OUTCOMES<br />knowledgeable about computers operations: platforms, file management, troubleshooting, etc. <br />able to use a computer effectively for concept mapping, data collection including grading, multi-media and graphics capabilities, both as a part of an effective curriculum and as a classroom management tool. <br />able to use a computer effectively for research, teaching, and learning. <br />able to use Inspiration to pre-write and organize thoughts <br />
