A dream is a goal with out actions Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible. - Tony Robbins • Dreams needs to be converted as Goals – You need to turn your dreams into action. – Goals make the visions of your dreams – Have long term goals and short term goals • Goals should be based on what you think you should be doing not what you ‘like’ to do. • Most of our goals are based on external factors – your company, advertisements, or ‘your family’
  5. 5. Goals What keeps me going is goals - Muhammad Ali • Goals not met with commitment, passion or foundation are never met. • Write them down • Break them down to smaller goals • Look at them on a particular interval • Review and revise the goals • Share the goals

  7. 7. Specific • Do you know exactly what you want to accomplish with all the details. • Decide on Six ‘W’s – Who accomplishes – What to accomplish – Where – When – Which (are the things holding you back) – Why (accomplish this goal)
  8. 8. Measurable Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should have accomplished with your ability. • Are you able to measure your progress ? • What is not measured is never improved.
  9. 9. Achievable • Is your goal with in your reach given your current situation? – Attitude – Abilities – Skills – Financial Capability
  10. 10. Relevant / Realistic • Is your goal relevant towards your purpose in your life ? • Is it relevant for a greater goal?
  11. 11. Time bound • What is the deadline for completing your goal
  12. 12. When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps. – Confucius • • Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there Don't be a time manager, be a priority manager. Cut your major goals into bite-sized pieces. Each small priority or requirement on the way to ultimate goal become a mini goal in itself.
