  • 1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
  • 2. I think that I have learnt alot about the technologies in the process of making my magazine. For example, I have been using Adobe Photoshop (CS5) to create my magazines front cover and contents page, and the double page spread was created in Microsoft Publisher (2003). I have found out how to create alot more professional images on Photoshop and found out how to manipulate images to a higher extent. I had already had some previous experience on Photoshop before making my magazine, but I have learnt alot more in terms of editing text and rasterizing text layers to make them editable. In publisher which I do not have much previous experience of, I have found out that it does exactly what it says – before I had used it I though publisher was a very simple, bland program that not many people used – I thought that Photoshop was the program that was great for making magazine covers and writing text out – I was wrong, Publisher is alot better at creating documents and making magazines, I know there are other programs such as illustrator and InDesign which are very good for making magazines aswell, but from what I have used, publisher has proven me wrong and is alot better for editing text. As you can see, my double page spread looks alot more professional than my front cover and my contents page , and I think that this is because I was a little too over-confident with myself in Photoshop and took the editing of the images a little over the top.
