  • 1. Sloth ( Choloepus hoffmanni ) name: William Fischer Class: 5 Wattle
  • 2.
    • The sloth has a short black snout with a flat head and two big eyes. It also has three strong claws on each foot.
  • 3.
    • The sloth live in thick tall trees and hang from branches. The sloth is found in the tropical rainforests in South America , especially Peru and Central Brazil.
  • 4.
    • The sloth does not move around much, in fact it is so slow algae grows on its back. His claws helps the sloth hang on to branches.
  • 5.
    • Sloths are herbivores. They eat fruit ,weeds ,flowers and small roots off trees. The sloth get its water from leaves or from streams.
  • 6.
    • The sloth reproduces in the dry season . It grows in the womb for 5 to 6 months . It mates upside down . The baby sloth stays with the mother for a month.
