  2. 2. <ul><li>The Gold Lion Tamarin Monkey is part of the Callitrichidae family. It is native to the Amazon and Atlantic coastal forests of Brazil South America . </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>The Gold Lion Tamarin has a small face with brown skin and gold fur around its face making a big golden mini mane. The fur goes all throughout its body covering its long thick tail and its strong little four legs. Its body is 34 to 40 cm and its tail alone is 26 to 38cm long. They weigh 630 to 710g. </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>The Gold Lion Tamarins live in the coastal lowlands in the Amazon part of Brazil. They live up in the Canopy for lots of branches and vines to make a perfect home. </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>The Gold Lion Tamarin has very strong arms and legs allowing them to climb up trees and swing on vines. </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>They eat crickets and a lot of fruits in their diet . </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>They bread any time of the year. When the female is pregnant it takes about five months before the baby monkey is born. The baby will look just like the parents but with short fur. </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>In captivity they have a life span of ten to fifteen years of age. </li></ul>
