  • 2. Description
    • A Rainforest Sloth is a slim, shiny, soft, brown furred sloth that measures to about 20 to 27 inches long. The Sloth weighs around 20 kilograms. The Sloth has a yellow band around its eyes and a black cap on the top of its head.
  • 3. Habitat
    • The rainforest sloth lives in the rainforest canopy of Central and South America. They also can be found in Northern Argentina.
  • 4. Movement
    • The Rainforest Sloth lives in the tree as they climb and hang upside down in the trees all day.
  • 5. Feeding Habits
    • The Rainforest Sloth eats leaves and other plants. They drink water from lakes or collected on leaves. The rainforest Sloth is a herbivor.
  • 6. Breeding Habits
    • Adult female Sloths reproduce a single baby each year. They give birth by hanging upside down on a tree branch.
  • 7. Other Facts on the Sloth
    • Sloths are extremely slow moving animals in the rainforest canopy of Central and South America.
    • Sloths have babies up side down on one tree branch.
    • Some sloth can rotate around all the way.
