  • 2. Classification
    • The Golden lion tamarin is a funny looking and smooth animal that swings on trees.
    • It’s Scientific name is rosalia rosalia.
    • It is apart of a family monkey
  • 3. Description
    • The Golden Lion Tamarin has a main like a lion. It has a long tail like a tree kangaroo. The adults are 24 pounds and 24 inches long and half of is the tail. The Golden Lion Tamarin is very furry and smooth.
  • 4. Habitat
    • It lives in different types of tropical rainforest of Brazil
  • 5. Movement
    • It swings from tree to tree and can walk on four feet and uses it’s tail to balance.
  • 6. Diet
    • The Golden Lion Tamarin eats sweets, pulpy fruits, insects and small lizards. The zoo gives them nuts, fruits and monkey chow.
  • 7. Breeding
    • The female has babies in 5 to 6 weeks or twins in August or September.
