2. The Task Outline
• The headteacher will place you in
Departments of 5-6 teachers
• Your department will then be given an old
style lesson
• Your task is to “transform” it to go on
Moodle as an e-learning lesson
• You may only use Web2.0 and Moodle
tools features
3. Your Department Roles
• Once in your department you will need to
appoint a Head of Department
• This person will then assign jobs for each
team member
• Each team member will be responsible for
designing a particular part of the lesson
• One member will be appointed a
“Moodle Expert” to get special training

5. Lesson Planning
• As a team you will be asked to plan your
lesson first
• You will need to look at the old lesson you
have been given
• You will need to look at the different software
tools available for Web2 and Moodle
• You then need to complete a Lesson Plan and
upload it to Moodle
6. Lesson Making
• Once your lesson has been approved you
need to get on and make it
• Each person will work on a separate part
• You will add the lesson to your departments

• You will need to send someone for training
on how to add resources to Moodle
• You will need to use/link to the help guides
for the Web2.0 tools and Moodle tools
7. An Outline for Day 3
Period Task and approximate timings
Listen to outline of Task (5mins)
Get into group and decide on roles (10mins)
2 Look at “old fashioned” lesson (10mins)
Plan, write and hand in lesson plan (35mins)
Moodle training (50mins)
Department work on individual parts of lesson (50mins)
3 Department Meeting to review progress and set targets for
Day 4 (10mins)
