Cut 25-percent of the words without losing any of your main ideas or key points. Take it from 800 down to 600 words, losing approximately 100 from each letter. Do this surgically. Do not use a saw. Use a scalpel. Trim line by line, one sentence at a time. Use sentence combining skills. Cut redundancies, unnecessary adverbs and adjectives. Restructure sentences to say more with less.
