I founded the Website Futurist.com in 1995, having registered the URL in 1993, thus changing the name of my Futurist consulting and speaking business from Hiemstra International to Futurist.com. The site was established to be a free information source and portal on the Web, and to act as a business location for my Consulting and Professional Speaking. Numerous writers including prominant Science Fiction authors have contributed to the archive of material over the years. When blogs began in the 21st Century the website began to publish new material in blog form and continues to be a place for free insight into future trends, an on strategies for creating the future.
