His experience was gained principally as adirector of Noble Grossart Limited (1983 – 1989), as CEO and co-founder of the CarnegieSports International Group (1989 -1992), as a corporate finance partner with Deloitte (inboth the UK and USA: 1992 - 2003) and as co-founder and executive director of WinningScotland Foundation (2004-2009). Graham graduated magna cum laude from theUniversity of Edinburgh Law School in 1979. He has written frequently in the press andappeared numerous times on TV and radio in the UK and USA.His 30 year business career has included over four years living and working in the USA(1999- 2003). Graham is a founding member of the Scottish Executive backed GlobalScotorganization (http://www.globalscot.com). During his time in the USA, Graham was a 1
  • 2. trustee of the World Affairs Council of Northern California, the largest internationalaffairs organisation on the US west coast.Graham is a non executive director of North Lanarkshire Leisure Limited(http://www.nlleisure.co.uk), the company charged with delivering sport, recreationaland health improving services to the community of North Lanarkshire, the 4 th largest ofScotland’s local authorities.Graham is Scotland’s World Leadership Day Ambassador (www.worldleadershipday.org)Graham’s interest and involvement in sport extends to a personal level, as his twodaughters are both International golfers. Twenty one year-old Rebecca is a two timeAcademic All-American, majoring in business while attending the University ofTennessee on a golf scholarship; while Sally (19) is a golf scholarship sophomore atStanford University. Sally is a member of the Scottish Institute of Sport and was amember of the 2008 and 2010 GB&I Curtis Cup teams and the 2007 and 2009 PINGEuropean Junior Solheim Cup teams.Graham is aged 53. He is married and lives in Fife.
