– One of my friend who was to come with me for this
training told me that he will take snaps, collect
materials, prepare a collage and frame it. That is
when, one other friend told us that if we don’t return,
our family will frame our snaps

6. Training
• 5th Nov - 7th Nov ( 3 days)
• Venue - Talegaon (30 Kms away from Pune)
• Level - P1
• Course content - Basics (Ground Handling, Equipment
understanding, Take off, Flight controls, Landing,
Mushrooming & packing)
• Typical day - 6AM to 6 PM ( 80% Practical and rest
theory/de-briefing)
8. Experience
• Day 1 is the most tiring with too much of ground handling,
trying to get basic controls of the glider on ground
• Too many bruises and falls while trying to launch and land
• Day 2 is when one practices hops
• 2nd half of day 2 and entire day 3 is for many flights from hill
top, few hundred feet above ground
• First flight was just awesome. One has to experience it to
believe it
9. Certification
• Current Certification - Level P1 ( Student Pilot)
• 2 levels/certifications as shown below required to get
international certificate to fly from any authorised place
across the globe without any supervision (License to Fly)
Next in Line
• P2 certification in Para gliding (Senior Consultant )
• Pilot Certification (Equivalent to VP – Any Consulting
Vertical)
• During the next certifications, one can experience many
single flights of 45 Minutes to 1 hour each ( Flying with the
birds)
