What is Mathcad? • Mathcad is an important Computer- Algebra-System (CAS) used for engineering and making calculations • We have used Mathcad for 3 years in Secondary school mathematics classes • Compared to other CAS, Mathcad is very easy to use (after 3 hours’ instruction, our students were able to create their own documents 21st Century Learning 11 Conference, GSIS Hong Kong
  • 12. What do we do with Mathcad? 1. Create dates (all students have their own dates) 2. Solve a system of equations 3. Define functions 4. Create graphical representations of functions 5.
