      • Problems :
      • Library had to deal with tons of digital information
      • No solid distribution model
      • Opportunities :
      • The library as a learning space
      • The library as partner in education
    5. Idealisme in learning communities
      • Fontys wants more from the library than just ‘ providing access to information ’
      • Fontys wants a strong relationship between education and information
    6. So...our librarians needed to:
      • Know more about needs of our users (teachers/students/institutions)
      • Find more quality information for them
      • Share more with learners, educators and others
      • Support more users, online and offline
      • To do all that,
      • the library needed a new [ interactive ] platform
    7. The Fontys Library Portal
      • The Fontys Library Portal needs to be more than just a website ;
      • it should be a portal of knowledge where we [ the library ] can share our expertise and offer quality information services.
