MapStore is an Open Source framework that has been specifically developed to create, save and share with others in a simple and intuitive way maps and mashups created fusing content served by servers leveraging on OGC standards as well as servers like Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, MapQuest and so on. MapStore consists of two main components, MapManager and GeoStore, respectively front-end and back-end.
The workshop will provide users with the basic knowledge to install, administer and proficiently use MapStore in order to create and share mashups that fuse contents served by existing services with a particular focus on INSPIRE View and Download services. The possibility to integrate MapStore with GeoNetwork Catalogue Services will also be covered as an option to create an integrated SDI suitable also for (GEO)OpenData infrastructures.
