The colour
connotes fighting,
war but also love.
This allows us to
see the likely
theme of the
album and that
also the music is
likely to be in the
punk rock genre of
music. The
exclamation mark
makes the word
“Sandinista” stand
and powerful.
We can see the band
wearing different
clothing, particularly
very different to
current trends in the
late 70’s. We see
similar styles to other
bands/groups around
at the time including
Village people. This
link shows the
stereotype of
American culture
hugely amplified and
shows that the group
follows the rock
genre.
The actual image is in black and white. This has been done to give the album a better look, and trying to
create a mood for the album. What there wearing however, for the time, is very unconformity compared to
the fashion of the time. This conforms with the idea of punk Rock genre.
