  6. 6. Observing Interest Watching what the children play with Listen to their conversations Build on questions they have Listing to what they request
  7. 7. Changing lesson plans  If children are interested in a topic, stay on it, instead of moving on.  If children need more help, give it to them by expanding the lesson
  8. 8. Forming Relationships Bonding with students and their families Having conversations with them Building trust Encouraging friendship in the classroom
  9. 9. How will I know it worked? If my students are excited to come to school If they share personal stories with me If I see socialization among them If they express their interests freely If they are understanding the material being taught
  10. 10. Why is teaching important? Children need to feel comfortable in the school setting. They spend a good majority of their time there. If they do not enjoy it and gain something from it, they will eventually dread going. I want to make sure that doesn’t happen. This is why I think my philosophy will be an effective one.
