The Imagence Partners

  1. 1. The Imagence Partners The Imagence Partners is a boutique HR and OD consulting firm that partners with clients to help them imagine and get ready for the future. Imagence is led by Gautam and Ekta, who are based at Hyderabad, India. The services that Imagence offers range from Organization Development, HR Consulting and incorporating Social Media in organizational communications. The word Imagence is formed by two words - Image or Imagine - which stands for ideas, thoughts, dreams, concepts and mental images - and Emergence - which refers to the process of complex pattern formation. Imagence Partners engages with clients to work on issues that are impacted by the interaction between organizational systems and the employees. These organizational systems could be human systems like teams, groups, business units as well as non-human systems like resources, technology, business systems and processes.

  3. 3. Services Organizational Development Facilitating Organizational and Human Effectiveness Our belief is that employees hold back their whole selves and consequently their full potential, from the workplace because organizational systems and processes are not fully empowering and do not afford primacy to individual employees. Organizational Development (OD) is the approach to solving such complex organizational issues by taking a systemic approach rooted in behavioral science. It involves diagnosis of the issue, design and development of an appropriate intervention, implementation and feedback. OD is based in behavioral sciences and therefore looks at not only the quot;Whatquot; of people related initiatives but also at the quot;howquot; It can be used to diagnose issues that are underlying and may not surface in the normal course of events. These can be intra-team issues, inter-team issues, inter-level issues or organizational issues.
  4. 4. HR Consulting Enhancing productivity and potential The Age of Talent It is commonly accepted that we are living in an age of talent, but what is often not understood is that what differentiates organizations from their competitors is not merely their talent, but how they utilize it. The importance of Human Resources In most organizations the HR function plays a maintenance role, either because it lacks the skill to 'move to the next level' or because the processes or policies it has are outdated. The Imagence Partners can help you align your HR priorities with your critical business needs and advise you how to get the maximum from your investment in your talent. What can Imagence Partners do for you? We can look at an organization’s HR processes and suggest changes for • it to align better with business objectives. These HR processes would typically be: o The Goal Planning and Performance Management System o The Learning Needs Analysis o Drafting a Learning Strategy for the members of the firm We can evaluate the professionals within the HR function and developing • a learning path for them
  5. 5. Blogging and Social Media Engage your candidates and customers using the power of the next web What is Blogging (and why is it important?) Blogging (or, Web-logging) is referred to a certain kind of website that gets chronologically updated and enables self-publishing by people who do not know the basics of web-design or HTML. As defined by the Wikipedia: A weblog (usually shortened to blog, but occasionally spelled web log) is a web-based publication consisting primarily of periodic articles (normally in reverse chronological order). Blogs can be hosted by dedicated blog hosting services, or they can be run using blog software on regular web hosting services. · Like other media, blogs often focus on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news. Some blogs function as online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Because blogs offer an easy way for people to connect with others and express themselves (therefore, fulfilling mankind’s two basic higher order needs !) it has grown exponentially after it started.
  6. 6. Some facts from Technorati (www.technorati.com ) which is a blog tracking and search tool: Technorati now tracks over 35.3 Million blogs • The blogosphere is doubling in size every 6 months • It is now over 60 times bigger than it was 3 years ago • On average, a new weblog is created every second of every day • 19.4 million bloggers (55%) are still posting 3 months after their • blogs are created Technorati tracks about 1.2 Million new blog posts each day, about • 50,000 per hour. With these kind of numbers it is easy to see why businesses are getting excited about the “blogosphere” (which is the name for the ecology of blogs). Many people commenting and expressing themselves on blogs invariably focus on their workplaces and the products they use. These conversations are invariably richer than any structured interviews or focus group discussions. Organizations that join these conversations will differentiate themselves from their competitors in building a relationship with bloggers. The series of workshops for clients would explain the opportunities of engaging the blogosphere to build a brand and a distinctive image globally and to showcase its culture for prospective employees. What can Imagence Partners do for you? The Imagence Partners can help you in various ways regarding engaging the social media. One of our service offerings is the social media and blogging awareness sessions. The workshops will cover the following themes: Introduction to blogging •
  7. 7. About blogging • Benefits of blogging • Skills required to blog effectively • Organizational processes to support an open blogging culture. • How to share knowledge and learning through blogging. • The duration of the workshops would be 4 to 8 hours.
