Going on a trip!

Where do you like to go? Everyday that we wake up and leave our homes, we go on a trip. You might go to school. You might go to your grandma’s house. Sometimes we go somewhere special… Maybe to the beach, maybe to a different country. Where do you like to go? Have you ever gone somewhere special?

Going on a trip! Each trip we take has a beginning, a middle and an end. Before we leave, we must get ready to go. We pack our bags and make sure we have what we need. We also choose how we will get there… Car? Bus? Airplane? Boat? Then, we decide what to do when we get there. Finally, we come back home.

My trip! The beginning: One of my favorite places to go is… The beach! Before I leave my house, I pack my swimsuit, sunglasses, sandals, towel and sunscreen. I will be going to the beach in a car.

My trip! The middle: When I get to the beach, I change into my swimsuit and then I pick a nice spot on the sand. I go swimming, build sandcastles and enjoy a nice cool treat. I love being at the beach! I feel the warm sun on my face, smell the salt of the ocean on the air and hear the excitement and laughter of families having fun! It is one of my favorite places to go!

My trip! The end: I hate leaving the beach, but at the end of every trip we have to go home. I pack up my things, change back into my clothes and get back into the car to head home. I will miss my special place, but I am already looking forward to my next trip!
