My World!

Who Lives in Our World? Many different people live in our world. Without other people, life would be very hard. These people do many different things. Some help us when we are sick or hurt. Some teach us how to do new things. Some keep our world clean and safe.

Family Our families are very important. They make sure we have a home, food to eat and clothes to keep us warm. They love us and keep us safe .

Bus Driver The bus driver takes us to school. It is their job to make sure we get there safely. When school is finished, they take us safely back home.

Teachers Our teachers help us grow and learn. They love and care for us. They teach us new things and make learning fun!

Coach A coach is another kind of teacher. They care for us and help us grow and learn, too. They teach us how to play sports and they help us stay healthy.

Shop Clerk Shop clerks live and work in our neighborhoods. They keep useful things in their shops to sell. When we need something at home, their shops are where we buy our clothes, food, toys, school supplies and many other things!

Chefs cook the food that we eat in restaurants. They work hard to make delicious, healthy food. When we don’t eat at home, a chef makes sure that we eat good food. Chef

Waitress Waitresses work in the restaurants we visit with our families. They are kind and work very hard. They make sure that we enjoy the food we eat.

Security Guard Security guards work at our buildings. They make sure that we are safe. If we are in trouble near our home, they will help us.

Janitor Janitors work in our buildings, too. They make sure that our homes, schools and work places are clean and safe. They fix things that are broken, too. Without them, our buildings would be dirty and unsafe.

Nurse Doctors Doctors and nurses are very important. They take care of us when we are sick or hurt. They are very kind and hard-working.

Police Officers Police officers are also very important. They keep us safe and help us when we are in trouble. If we are hurt, in danger or lost, a policeman will do everything he can to help.

Fire Fighters Fire fighters are very brave men and women. They keep our homes safe from fire. They also help us when we are in danger.

Our World! These and many other kinds of people live in our world. They work hard and help us everyday. Without these people, we wouldn’t learn, we couldn’t eat or have clothes to wear. Our buildings would be dirty and we would be in great danger everyday. Because of these kind, helpful people, our world is kept safe and clean and we can live happily.
