1. Global Partnership for
Telehealth Missions
• Impacting lives through healthcare
needs!
• By: Michael D’Ambrosio
2. What is GPTM?
• Formed a little over a year ago,GPTM is
another entity built under the Global
Partnership for Telehealth Platform.
• GPTM was formed out of the noticeable
impact on rural communities in Georgia and
Alabama with a desire to carry that to the
international front.
• Extend the reach- Improve the outcomes-
Lower the costs…
3. Platform
• Global Partnership for Telehealth Missions
(GPTM) is using the same successful platform
that has worked tremendously in Georgia and
Alabama and using it on a Global Missions
front through Medical Mission Companies and
Medical Mission trips.
4. Avenues
• Christian Universities
• Hospitals on Foreign Land
• Medical Mission Companies
• Christian based organizations
• Churches
5. Barriers
• Internet Connection
• Funding
• Partnerships
• Physicians
• Clinics
• Medicine
6. Connectivity
• Need adequate bandwidth to be able to do a live
telemedicine consult.
– Satellite
• Opportunities to enable certain equipment with the
capability to connect via satellite for Video calls.
– Phone service
• Most countries, as poor as they may seem, still have cell
towers.
– Wireless
• GPTM can also connect through the wireless or Modems
that are in the foreign country.
7. Funding
• Some equipment out in the field now has
been donated by our organization.
• Employees of GPT have the option to donate
any amount from there checks each week into
our Missions Fund.
• Donations from other organizations such as
Jackson Healthcare.
• Churches wanting to sponsor a clinic or take
up a love offering.
8. Partnerships
• Physicians & Clinics
• Need Physicians who are willing to donate time
to see kids through telemedicine.
– Can be from the comfort of the home or the office.
– Can be done with any amount of time frame.
• As an organization we don’t know every
orphanage nor do we know who needs help in
the healthcare field. We need churches and other
organizations to help us connect to these clinics.
9. Medicine
• Most medicine is received from local
pharmacies in the home country. Most
countries have access to a lot of medicine they
just lack the expertise in some of the remote
locations to know what to give, when, and
how much.
