        • Welcome participation and contribution
        • Set a welcoming, non-judgmental tone
      Example: This group is for anyone who’s interested in _____________. From seasoned pros to novices to the “merely interested”, all questions and comments are welcome.
      • It’s up to the host to get it started.
      • Post Something; Ask for members’ thoughts
        • A provocative statement
        • A provocative question
        • Upload documents, white papers, case studies
        • Links to video, Flash
          • (Tip: When pasting links, use Internet Explorer; Firefox requires plugins)
      • Check often to see if you have new members
      • Send a welcome message
        • Make new members feel noticed & welcome
        • Let new members know it’s OK to start a discussion in your group
        • Prompt, encourage their participation
