    • Blogging Etiquette Beginners Can Use Blogging etiquette is something that any new blogger should know about. Unfortunately, even the seasoned bloggers sometimes overlooked them. If you are a beginner in blogging, there will always be a trial and error period where you are still trying to figure out what is and what is not accepted in the world of blogging. People who have been writing blogs for quite a while tend to seamlessly evolve without giving a thought about how things are changing every day. There are some blogging etiquette rules that any beginner can use. • User permalinks whenever possible. Permalinks are links to an individual blog post. www.bloggingtips.com
    • Blogging Etiquette Beginners Can Use What makes them important is that if you need to link to a blog entry, the permalink can be used as your link. Not using permalink is poor blogging etiquette. Refusing to use the permalink means you are only linking into your main blog page. As a result, every time you post a new blog entry, the latest entry will appear on top of the main blog page and the rest of the entries will be pushed down on the page. The post your readers are searching for can be down the bottom of the page or is in the archives already. Your reader will have no idea on where to find the post. www.bloggingtips.com
    • Blogging Etiquette Beginners Can Use If the readers click over to your website hoping to see a specific post that is related to what they are looking for, they will find a different post and may not take the time finding the real post that they were searching for. • Don’t forget to ask permission. Make yourself familiar with Creative Commons and copyright. While it is not necessary to ask permission to link someone, you should ask permission to use their content and photographs. • Avoid selling yourself in comments. Bloggers have a variety of opinions about whether it is fine to link your blog in the comments at a different blog. Some view this as promoting yourself inappropriately. www.bloggingtips.com
    • Blogging Etiquette Beginners Can Use Others think it is fine to leave a permalink if you what you have written is extremely relevant. Linking to yourself only for the sake of having your link out there is a big NO-NO. Many platforms will ask you to enter your name, URL and email before you can leave a comment and then once your comment is posted, the readers can clink on your name and be directed to your blog. Placing your URL in the comment is redundant. If you are reading a blog post and you have made something that is quite the same, you can go either of these ways. www.bloggingtips.com
    • Blogging Etiquette Beginners Can Use First, provide an overview of your post or thoughts and allow the readers to know that you have said more on the subject and ask them to read your blog by putting a permalink to the article. Second, provide an outline of your opinion and leave it at that. Learning the etiquettes of blogging will not make you a good blogger, but also a trusted one.
