Brain Rules for PresentersSorry, not sure what the problem is. I can download it fine on Mac and PC. Most people can, but I know some can not. Very sorry about that. Someone had a solution but the comments were erased when I updated the file (a few typos fixed). Any ideas? Thanks! -g2 years ago

Career Advice ’08Yes, I use Keynote. Slideshare does not accept Key files so that’s why you see it as a pdf download (though frankly this is fine with me as being in pdf form makes sure that the slides look the same as the original file). You can present with these slides in fullscreen mode in Acrobat). Oh, and I have PowerPoint of course, and it works fine on the Mac too. I just like Keynote because it is so simple. PowerPoint is simple too, but the UI has a lot of stuff I do not need -- I guess I am kind of a simplcity freak. Nothing wrong with ppt at all. If I am doing some more complex animations, ppt is better. But for this very simple comic-like slideshow, Keynote is all I need...and it’s as easy to use as falling off a log.
As for how long it took. I did it over about two weeks. I could have done it in one 8-hour sitting, but I worked on it during stolen moments on the train to/from work. I am not the fastest of workers, however. I like to take my time and enjoy life a little while I am working...takes more time :-) It was easy to organize as Dan already put it into six lessons, then I just added a kind of intro and conclusion plus some stuff at the beginning about Dan. Extremely simple. Actually, searching for photos on iStock takes quite a bit of time -- I do that last. I usually type something like "put image of magnifying glass here" on a slide then move on rather than get off track and go searching while working on the slides in storyboard.2 years ago

Presentationzen tests audio on Slideshare.netYou may notice that the text is hard to read over the magazine cover. In Keynote the magazine cover fades to transparent (about 90%) before the text builds on top. For some reason this was not understood by the PDF function on the Mac. Obviously the text and the background now lack good contrast (a big no no). C’est La Vie! - Garr3 years ago

Presentationzen tests audio on Slideshare.netThis is still very beta. Looks promising though. After slide 7 I could not sync the slides to audio. Seems to be a bug. When it is fixed I’ll try again. -g3 years ago
