    • The Question
      • What is the relationship between p 4 student academic achievement in social science and the ICT use in the classroom ?
      • Independent variable - ICT using in classroom
      • Dependence variable - student examination result in social science classes
    • Data collection
      • Choose a sample primary school and one class of p4 student.
      • Assume the score of latest test and the ICT use frequency have some relationship
      • Gets the latest test score of social science. Collect as many samples as possible, to plot ICT use frequency done by students, against the score of final examination.
      • Design questionnaire for measuring the using of ICT in class
    • Frequency h/week numbers of people 8 14 12 12 3
    • Computation of correlation coefficients
      • number of students taken, score of final examination are used to compute the correlation coefficient for each grade. The closer the correlation coefficient to +1, the higher the strength of the relationship between 2 variables.
      • If positive correlation (>0.5) is found, school may consider to use of more ICT technology to improve the performance of students in social science
    • Limitation
      • Reading is just one of the factors that help in improving test score of social science, other factors such as practicing more, writing more and work as volunteer are the traditional methods used to improve academic achievement in social science .
      • The said research does not consider the relationship between the frequency and the efficiency?
    • What should we think about ?
      • Can teacher suitable use of ICT as teaching tools, can they got the sufficient knowledge ?
      • Can student familiar with using ICT so as to improve their study ?
      • Are there any other tool better than ICT teaching, such as newspaper, educational TV programme.
    • Contributions to Education
      • The research findings could show that:
        • Whether the integration of ICT in classroom make a positive role in enhancing education especially in the subject of social science?
        • Is students familiar with the use of ICT in their learning? Does it improve their study?
        • Does the ICT improve the learning design?
        • Etc.
