  • 1. Jesus Explains Salvation
    John 3:3, 6-8, 14-17 and 36
  • 2. Nicodemus came to Jesus by night. What do you know about him?
He was a Pharisee and a ruler of the Jews.
The Pharisees were the sect that prided themselves on strict defenseand practice of the law.
They often followed their own man made traditions rather than or in addition to the law.
Their “obedience” was often an outward ritual, lacking any inward sincerity or genuine concern about God and their relationship to Him
Jesus often convicted them of hypocrisy, because their “righteousness” was an outward appearance before men without proper attitude toward God or others.
  • 3. Why We Need To Be Saved?
We are all sinners. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God".Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.“
The penalty (punishment) for sin is death!Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.“
When Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden took the temptation that the Serpent laid before them, Sin entered the world to be passed down from them, till now. God had a plan then for the sin of the world!

  • 6. How This Is Made Possible
God's Love For Us.John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Christ died on the Cross for our sins!  Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.“
It doesn't matter what you have done, how bad you think you have been, or that no one could love someone like yourself, God does, and so much, that he gave His Only Begotten Son, to die for your sins that you might have eternal life, a home in Heaven, joy unspeakable and a life worth living!
  • 7.
  • 8. Plan of Salvation
What do we need to do?
  • 9. 1st Realize that we are sinners. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.“
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
This means we recognize that we have made mistakes, whether big or small, and are not perfect. It also means that because we are sinners we are condemned to death, but God came to give us eternal life.
  • 10. 2nd Believe that Jesus died for our sins. Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”
This means we acknowledge that God Himself, Jesus Christ, came in the form of man to take our place, and died on a cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with Him.
  • 11. 3rd Repent, Receive Christ and be Baptized. Acts 2:38 “Peter replied, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”John 1:12 “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
This means that we ask God for forgiveness, change our ways, are baptized and begin to live our life with Jesus in it.
  • 12. To receive this free gift of salvation is as simple
Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner, I believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for my sins, was buried and rose from the grave. I ask you now Lord Jesus to come into my heart, and take away my sins, and save my soul. Change my heart and life Lord, to be what you want me to be! I thank you Lord for the forgiveness of my sins, your gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your mercy and grace!  A-men
Just take God at his word, and claim His salvation by faith. Believe and you will be saved. God's power will save you, and keep you saved, and help you live a victorious Christian life.
  • 13. The End Result
This is the best decision in your life that you will ever make. God will be with you every day, walking beside you, he will be your guide, counselor and your best friend.
  • 14. Now That You Are A Born Again Christian
Begin by reading your Bible - Its not how much you read but by reading and applying the precious Word of God to your life on a daily basis.Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalms 119:105
Talk to God in Prayerand begin to build up your relationship with God Pray without ceasing" (I Timothy 2:8)
Be Baptized by Immersion, Fellowship with other Christians in a Church where Jesus Christ is preached, and the Bible is the final authority. “
  • 15. Tell Others About Christ
Now that your life has been changed, with the peace that comes from knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior! Tell someone today!
