It helped has fuel our sustained, profitable growth. We believe that that technology is not a real differentiator, it is the service that we provide that allows us to successful meet our SLAs. The core values of results first, transparency, and how we treat one another has allow us to be among the fastest growing technology companies in the world. We are constantly polling our customers how they feel about the service we provide. Net Promoter® scores we get every day is both a loyalty metric and a discipline for using customer feedback for Rackspace. If you have gone on the web, you might has seen some video shot in our office. The office is open, modeled as a help desk. It allow 90% of customer issues to be solved by just turning their chair to ask a fellow “racker” to help solve a problem or get a question answered. WE DEFINE OUR COMPANY BY BOTH A VISION AND A PURPOSE…
VisionEveryone at Rackspace can tell you our vision, a vision that we all support to become the world’s greatest service company. Our senior leadership is passionate about this. We refuse to accept mediocre. Once you accept less than great, you become “a phone company.” And, when was the last time you got great service from your mobile carrier or home phone company?PAUSEBUT, YOU CANNOT JUST HAVE A VISION TOO…
PurposeIf you are going to be a great service company, you need to take on the responsibility of reducing complexity for the customer and deliver the business outcome expected. That is why our purpose is to make cloud computing simple for business. This is by no means a “simple” thing. We take on all this complexity and deliver both simple and complex business outcomes to our customers. We are technology agnostic within the product options we offer. Our data centers around the world use mainstream, branded hardware from vendors like Dell, EMC, NetApp and Oracle on a massive scale. We offer transparency that very few of our competitor's offer. Our phone number is listed not like others.AND WE UNDERSTAND THE ISSUES THAT FACE LARGE ENTERPRISES TODAY.
RACKSPACE SOLUTIONS:Rackspace offers a seamless portfolio of services that help customers get the business outcome they want from public cloud services to the most sophisticated on-premise to off-premise solutions in the industry. Over the last year we have seen quick adaption of the hybrid cloud computing model enabled by RackConnect, a Rackspace intellectual property. We will talk more about this in a minute along with OpenStack cloud software. But, right now I would like to focus on one of recent wins in the UK, Dominos.
DELIVERING TO DOMINOSColin Rees, Domino's IT Director, said: "In 2010, over a third of our UK delivered orders were taken online, so having a reliable hosting solution is essential to our continued success. I knew that we needed to outsource our hosting infrastructure if we were to remain on our current growth trajectory and keep improving our customer experience. We wanted the best of both worlds, though: the high level of security and configurability that dedicated managed hosting affords a business, and the scalability of cloud hosting. Rackspace's RackConnect solution ticks all these boxes, and more."The Dominos solution looks like this….
RackConnect will enable Domino's to select which applications are placed where in the managed hosting infrastructure. For example, applications that require a high level of security, such as an internal email system, can be hosted on dedicated physical hardware. Domino's will also be able to take advantage of the on-demand scalability of The Rackspace Cloud for developing new smartphone or tablet applications, or handling the demands of a digital marketing campaign.RACKCONNECT ALSO ALLOW US TO SECURELY CONNECT TO YOUR DATA CENTER AND CREATE A FULLY MANAGED FIREWALL, LOAD BALANCED SOLUTION TO EXTEND YOUR COMPUTE AND STORAGE CAPABILITIES AS YOU NEED THEM WHEN YOU WANT THEM. IT LOOKS SOMETHING LIKE THIS….
