  • 3. Page 3 District Governor James N. Williams Grosse Pointe Lions Club is on the move….. We set up the "Lester Scherrer Fund" with Penrickton and gave them a check for $3000 to initiate it. Lester was our treasurer for over 30 years and recently passed away. In photo is our Pres. Bill Hollister, Kurt Sebaly, and Lester's children, and Pass President John Moran. Our annual Selfridge Airforce Base Golf Outing was a success. Part of the monies raised we gave a $1000 check to local student Gary Abud, Jr. who raised funds on behalf of MI Judge Benjamin Stanczyk received his 50 year Eye Bank since he has a degenerative vision Chevron Award membership pin from condition. In pic are Gary and me, Rob Lyles. District Governor Joe Griggs. (#Lions1) We added 5 new members this year: Chip Gibson, Ben Stanczyk, Jr., Drew Rentzel, Chace Wakefield, and Miguel Piecuch Sponsored by Dick Dossin, Dallas Kitchen and Judge Stanczyk.

  • 5. Page 5 District Governor James N. Williams District 11-A-1 Convention 2009 Will be held at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth, MI More information will be available in the July Issue.
