    • Client: eircom
    • Engagement:      Programme Management Consultancy
    • Project:               Multimillion pound programme to deliver of an ‘Enterprise class Cisco MPLS Voice and Data Network’ and ‘end to end’ managed Telecoms Service Solution’ to one of Irelands largest private companies.
    • eircom acting as the sub contractor to Northgate-IS to deliver an ‘ICT Business Process Outsourcing’ to Viridian PLC (Northern Ireland Electricity). The remit of eircom’s successful managed service offering was the transition of Viridian’s existing communications network to an advanced telecoms service encompassing an MPLS Voice and Data Network
    • Consultancy within a client focused programme included:
    • Managing internal Business Case development and investment approval
    • Project Managing the development of an Enterprise class Cisco MPLS Voice and Data Network with delivery of high bandwidth and resilient Network services to client sites across UK and Ireland
    • Development of an Enterprise class Network Operation Centre (NOC) based in Belfast
    • Transition of Services including migration and rollout of Network services to 30 + customer sites
    • Responsible for managing a diverse delivery team including Technical Project Managers, NOC Engineers, Voice and Data Engineers (CCIE’s) and Architects.
    • Reporting for all internal and external governance forums including Project Boards and Transition Boards.

    • Client: eircom
    • Engagement:      Programme Management Consultancy
    • Project:               Multimillion pound ‘ Next Generation Telephony’ and ‘Unified Communications’ programme to Northern Ireland Public Sector. The remit of the programme was to deliver an Next Generation communications environment to replace an existing traditional analogue based PBX environment. The Next Generation environment encompassed an IP Telephony (IPT) and Unified Communications (UC) service delivering IP Telephony, Instant Messaging, Presence, integrated voicemail, Audio and Video Conferencing, Web Collaboration and desktop integration.
    • Responsibilities within a client focused programme included:
    • Management at Programme and Executive level
    • Focus on quality and completeness of overall end to end programme
    • Support of pre-sales bid process including requirements gathering and tender response
    • Developing customer Business Case and Strategy to support Unified Communications
    • Project Manage delivery of the technical environment including coordination of internal and external technical resources across solutions including a wider delivery team including Architects, Engineers, Developers and Test Analysts
    • Manage programme of works including requirements gathering, design, development, test, implementation and deployment.
    • Service support definition and implementation to support managed service offering
    • Budgetary management including investment analysis, allocation, management and reporting.
  • 7. Project Management - Consultancy
    • Client:                 Meteor Mobile Communications
    • Engagement:      IT Project Management Consultancy
    • Project:               IT Integration component of a programme to implement the core Mobile Network infrastructure Ericsson Intelligent Network (CS3.0)
    • A large scale and complex project to replace Meteors existing ‘Intelligent Network’ Charging Platform (IN) with an Ericsson’s next generation IN platform (IN Charging System CS3.0). The IN is a core mobile telecoms component for managing Prepay customers and delivers functionality such as real-time costs and spending control, flexible special promotions capability and real-time bonus applications, advanced provisioning and billing integration. An Intelligent Network is a multilayered application that impacts upon all applications, systems and functions within an operator. Consultancy encompassed the end to end ‘IT’ system integration throughout the full project lifecycle and the successful implementation both ‘on time’ and ‘within budget’.
    • Sourced, recruited and managed a resource pool of 50+ people including 5 Project Managers, 4 Business Analysts, 4 Architects, Infrastructure (IP Engineers, Cabling, DBA’s) Development (Java Apps, BEA Web Logic, Cold Fusion, Oracle DBA’s and Test Teams (Functional, Integration, End to End and UAT)
    • Extensive requirements gathering over a six month period, vendor customizations and in house bespoke development
    • Scope of deliverables included the delivery of a BEA Systems Middleware Platform
    • Management of the Software Development and Quality phases of the project including provisioning and billing integration.
    • Comprehensive planning process comprising of over 40,000 man hours and associated tasks.
    • Liaise with external auditors throughout the duration the project.
    • Stakeholder, corrective management and wider governance structures
  • 8. Project Management - Consultancy
    • Client:                 Virgin Media
    • Engagement:   Project Management Consultancy
    • Project:        End to end management of IT work stream including requirement analysis, impact assessment, design, development and solution delivery to ensure project and long term business objectives are met. Engagement and management of third party suppliers (IBM, Tata) to ensure project plans and inter-dependencies are both aligned and maintain momentum throughout each project phase. Specific projects included:
    • Product Pricing Consolidation and Billing Integration suite . The project delivery encompassed a consolidation of existing tariffs and price changes across multiple legacy billing and provisioning platforms.
    • Next Generation Broadband – multimillion pound programme delivering a suite of market leading broadband services (10MB). IT deliverables included integration of product set into existing Provisioning and Billing suite.
    • Platform upgrade of Web Servers and implementation of advanced content management delivery
    • Implementation of new pricing strategy and discount structure to support Virgin pricing strategy i.e. Telco, Internet/Broadband and DTV packages. The project also included the delivery of a suite of Internet based Customer Services Tools.

Bohill team was responsible for delivering key projects to wholesale customers. Consultancy entailed Project Managing a range of high profile projects across Revenue Assurance, Billing, Settlements and Payments. Total accountability for project success with delivery responsibility, budgetary management (£4-6m), resource management and IT delivery within a Prince2
