  • Affiliate Marketing Online – 3 Ways To Stay Ahead Of The Competition

  • Affiliate marketing can be a lucrative way to pull in some extra money working from home online, but as simple as it may look there are some key elements that need to be in place in order to make a killing with affiliate marketing online.
  • In this article I’m going to outline three elements that you must put in place if you want to leave the competition in the dust, but before I do so it’s important that you understand something first.
What  I’m about to share with you is going to take some effort and focus in order to achieve the success that is available with affiliate marketing.
  • So let’s get into the 3 ways you can stay ahead of the competition as an affiliate marketing online.
  • 1.Promote each affiliate product on its’ own web page.
Often times I’ll see banners for fifteen different programs all clumped together on a single web page. If that wasn’t enough many of them will have animated banners flashing and blinking and whatever all going on at the same time.
  • Now if you were the visitor,  what action would know to take first?
Unfortunately the action the majority of visitors will take is to hit the ‘back’ button on their browser and get out of there as fast as possible, before they get mauled by all that advertising.
  • So if you want your visitors to focus on the affiliate offer your presenting, you’re better off promoting the affiliate product on it’s own page. This way your visitor has a clearer understanding of the action you want him/her to take.
  • A good idea would be to  include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do for those who buy it.
Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product and make sure that these customers authorize you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.
  • You can also highlight the products benefits and features by writing articles  and including them on your website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive and include a compelling call to action.
Your headlines should create a sense of curiosity and desire to find out more about the affiliate product you’re promoting. Done this way you will help your readers to get a better idea of what the page is about and move them to want to find out more.
  • 2. Build a list of subscribers. One very effective technique for attracting subscribers is to create a free report around information that they would be willing to pay for somewhere else.
Once you begin to capture the names and email addresses of your visitors, you will now be able to expose your subscribers to your affiliate offer more than once until they decide to buy.
  • It has been noted that it can take up to seven or more exposures to the product you’re promoting before a subscriber will buy, so with that being the case, your ability to convert your website visitor into a customer dramatically increases when you capture their name and email address.
  • 3. Get targeted traffic to your affiliate link. Getting traffic in general is not a very hard task to accomplish, but if the traffic you’re getting to your website is not converting into subscribers and customers, then there is a good probability that the wrong people are looking at your offer.
  • If you want to attract droves of hungry super targeted visitors to your website it’s important to position your content where your target market is.
For example, one such place you can find highly targeted visitors is in Ezines or electronic newsletters that cater to a specific niche targeted group of people who want to know more about what it is you have to offer.
  • How do we know that they are highly targeted?
Because they made the conscious decision to subscribe to the newsletter in an effort to get more information about their topic of interest.
  • By writing articles and submitting them to related ezine publications you are essentially positioning yourself right smack in the middle of the market you are trying to attract and this will easily result in sales and profits.
  • The key to success with this method of content distribution is to write at least 2 – 3 articles a week and constantly submit them for approval. As your content grows, so will your subscribers and profits.
  • Making money online is not rocket science but it does take planning and execution in order to reap the desired benefits. Would you like more high quality internet and affiliate marketing information for free?
