  • 1. Mount of Blessing p.84 Have a place for secret prayer. Jesus had select places for communion with God, and so should we. We need often to retire to some spot, however humble, where we can be alone with God. {MB 84.1}
  • 2. PRAYER And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: and I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession. Dan. 9:3, 4. {TMK 271.1} Daniels example of prayer and confession is given for our instruction and encouragement. . . . Daniel knew that the appointed time for Israels captivity was nearly ended, but he did not feel that because God had promised to deliver them, they themselves had no part to act. With fasting and contrition he sought the Lord, confessing his own sins and the sins of the people.... {TMK 271.2}
  • 3. Daniel 11 The world is stirred with the spirit of war. The prophecy of the eleventh chapter of Daniel has nearly reached its complete fulfillment. Soon the scenes of trouble spoken of in the prophecies will take place. {9T 14.2}

A. 99 “The words of the angel, "I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God," show that he holds a position of high honor in the heavenly courts. When he came with a message to Daniel, he said, "There is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael [Christ] your Prince." Dan. 10:21.
  • 9. The Blotting Out Of Sins The Day of Atonement 1 Peter 4:17 “For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God? Only sins at Sanctuary are the ones confessed and covered by the blood of Jesus. Matthew 7:22, 23 Not all Christians saved
  • 10. When Is God’s People Sealed? Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Acts 3:19Blotted out – Sanctuary Judgment Atonement
  • 11. TWO GROUPS OF CHRISTIANS Matthew 7:22,23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
  • 12. The Time of Refreshing The Latter Rain The work of the investigative judgment and the blotting out of sins is to be accomplished before the second advent of the Lord. Since the dead are to be judged out of the things written in the books, it is impossible that the sins of men should be blotted out until after the judgment at which their cases are to be investigated. But the apostle Peter distinctly states that the sins of believers will be blotted out "when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and He shall send Jesus Christ." Acts 3:19, 20. When the investigative judgment closes, Christ will come, and His reward will be with Him to give to every man as his work shall be. {GC 485.2}
  • 13. Blotting Out of Sins Day of Atonement Conclusions: 1. The house of God is judged first 2. judgment has passed onto the living 3. The sealed proclaim the last call to mankind 7. The sealed know the message 8 . The living sealed are known as the 144,000 9. Contemplate Rev. 7:9 “After this” Last day conversions
  • 14. OUR CHURCHES The Lord has set before me matters which are of urgent importance for the present time, and which reach into the future. . . . I was assured that there was no time to lose. The appeals and warnings must be given. Our churches must be aroused, must be instructed, that they may give the warning to all whom they can possibly reach, declaring that the sword is coming, that the Lords anger upon a profligate world will not long be deferred. I was shown that many would listen to the warning. Their minds would be prepared to discern the very things that it pointed out to them. {3SM 413.2}
