  • 1. HOLOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGYByR.Ramesh Reddy(08591A1281)1
  • 2. Holography:Holography is the process of making holograms, which are three-dimensional images. A hologram may also project a three-dimensional image into air.2
  • 3.  Hologram is a scattered image that is interaction of two beam lasers . The word hologram comes from the Greek words holo means wholeand gram means message. Whole message means 3-D image.Hologram:The Transmission Hologram: The laser is split to form an object beam and a reference beam. The light from the illuminated object and the reference beam forman interference pattern on the film. This pattern (hologram) contains the information about the objectwhich can then be viewed as a three dimensional image.3
  • 4. History of Holography:Dennis Gabor Holographic Technology Invented in 1948 byDennis Gabor for use in electron microscopy, before the invention of the laser. Dennis Gabor is considered the Father ofHolography and Holographic Technologies. Leith and Upatnieks (1962) applied laser lightto holography and introduced an importantoff-axis technique4
  • 5. Touchable Holography: Researchers from The Tokyo University have Invented a touchablehologram in 2009. The display to track hand motion, and an airborne ultrasound tactiledisplay created in the universitys lab to create the sensation of touch.5
  • 6. Holographic Computers: Holographic computers is the method of digitally generatingholographic interference patterns. 3-D holographic computer, a product that isnt on the market yet.But I think it will be someday soon. Sony designer Hiromi Kiriki has devised some sleek concepts forwearable computing devices6
  • 7. Holographic data storage:700 MB 9 GB 30~50 GBWhat is next ?7
  • 8. • It is estimated that until now people have produced more than 5 exabytes(5 billion gigabytes).• While HVD is attempting to revolutionize data storage, other discs aretrying to improve upon current systems.• HVD products need to be very cheap in order to compare with DVD drivesHolographic Versatile Disc:8
  • 9. Holographic security:Hologram Authentication : Identity card Passport. Sticker or Tag.Identity card9
  • 10. Passport.Sticker or Tag.10
  • 11. Why hologram for Authentication: Hologram stickers cannot be scanned or photocopied . Hologram stickers can also create a unique and attractive complementto your existing packaging and product. Protect your product from potential counterfeiters with this highlysophisticated tamper evident security hologram.11

  • 14.  Holographic Technology and Spectral Imagining has endless applications,as far as the human mind can imagine. Holographic Technology is most advanced technology. These technologies are indeed available and getting more robust inabilities each year. Holographic Technologies are not just about art or businesscommunication, they are about safety, security, education, planning andthe strength of our civilization14
