  • Great presentation, but truthfully the whole concept of AI freaks me out a little. (I have quite an imagination and have seen way too many movies!)

  • 1. INTRODUCTION TO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
  • 2. HISTORY OF AI?
    • Development of AI started in 1956 by C. Shannon, M. Minsky and J. McCarthy
    • Firstly introduced in a conference called “Machine Intelligence” in USA in 1956
    • Today, so many applications of AI can be seen in different areas.
  • 3. THE GOAL OF AI
    • To develop systems that can think and do like a human
    • To imitate the human being behaviour and intelligent
    • To assign human being load to machines and convert all systems to automatic systems
  • 4. WHAT IS AI?
    • Process of turning to the knowledge processing instead of data processing
    • Processing symbols instead of numbers
    • Teaching machine how to learn, think and decide
    • To imitate natural process
  • 5. What is AI?
  • 6. How do we classify research as AI?
  • 7. Intelligence
    • The ability to learn and to cope.
    • The ability to contemplate, think, and reason.
    • Synonyms :
      • Brain, brainpower, mentality, mother wit, sense, wit
    • Related :
      • Acumen, discernment, insight, judgment, perspicacity, sagacity, wisdom
  • 8. computer person tester computer person tester
  • 9. Intelligence
    • Turing Test : A human communicates with a computer via a teletype. If the human can’t tell he is talking to a computer or another human, it passes.
      • Natural language processing
      • knowledge representation
      • automated reasoning
      • machine learning
    • Add vision and robotics to get the total Turing test.
  • 10. Weak and Strong AI Claims
    • Weak AI:
      • Machines can be made to act as if they were intelligent.
    • Strong AI:
      • Machines that act intelligently have real, conscious minds.
