Open Campus is offering Online Scholarships!<br />Scholarships for $300 each are available for Summer Term, 2011. <br />Applicants must:<br /> ■be enrolled in at least six online credits during Summer 2011<br /> ■have a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.0 or higher<br /> ■have applied for financial aid by completing a FAFSA application<br /> ■complete an Open Campus scholarship application (Download as Microsoft DOC or Adobe PDF)<br /> ■submit an essay, 1–2 typed pages, double-spaced. Please include <br /> some of the following elements: <br /> ■how online learning has promoted your overall learning experience;<br /> ■the most interesting aspect of online learning;<br /> ■where you see the future of online learning.<br />Winners to be announced soon!<br />

Thank you to everyone for your generous contributions and active participation! We returned 86% of our employee pledge forms! The best performance college-wide! <br />
  9. 9. The Florida State College Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2011 District Board of Trustees Award for community service. This award recognizes Florida State College at Jacksonville full-time employees for their volunteer service to the community.<br />One full-time employee will be selected for the award. The award recognizes exceptional service by an employee to a single nonprofit agency during the 2010 calendar year. The recipient will be recognized at the 2011 Fall Convocation and will be presented with a $300 check payable to the charitable organization of the recipient’s choice. A candidate’s peers and supervisors can make nominations.<br />Please return completed nomination forms to the Florida State College Foundation, Administrative Offices Room 104 or by e-mail to rstamp@fscj.edu by August 12.<br />
