      • To ensure implementation of genomic tools in breeding programs
      • To allow usage of fruit species genetic resources
      • To build European Breeding Platform
Genomic tools and knowledge generated will make more efficient breeding programs and usage of genetic resources to obtain high quality disease resistant varieties to fulfill the needs of consumers and society There is a need for long lasting cooperation between genomicists and breeders to make more efficient breeding program. FRUITBREEDOMICS will generate new knowledge and tools that will allow more efficient use of fruit genetic resources and productive breeding programs that will result in high quality and disease resistant varieties to fullfil the needs of european consumers and society FRUITBREEDOMICS will enable genomicists, germplasm curators and breeders to cooperate through the long lasting EUROPEAN BREEDING PLATFORM to create new high quality and disease resistant varieties SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY SOCIETY AT LARGE Genomic tools and knowledge generated will make more efficient breeding programs and usage of genetic resources to obtain high quality disease resistant varieties to fulfill the needs of consumers and society New high quality and disease resistant varieties will be more readily avalaible through the usage of genomic tools making exploitation of genetic resources and breeding more efficient
