How to Import PDFs into PowerPoint 2007

PowerPoint does not insert PDFs as images so the following is the easiest method that allows you to place PDF images/pages onto your slidesNote: If you received a lengthy deck that is a PDF, you basically received pictures of each slide. It’s an involved process to make each slide editable. You’re better off getting the original PowerPoint file

To get the best image quality you should resize the view to 150%Note: The quality of the image is dependant on the quality of the original PDF fileFit page150%Note: this will increases the file size since you are basically increasing the image resolution

Select the Snapshot Tool. You will see a crosshair on the screen. Place it on the corner of your image and drag it to the area of the page you'd like to use in your PowerPoint presentation. For instance if it’s an image, you start at one corner, drag and scroll until the whole image is selected

The snapshot tool automatically copies the selected area to the clipboard once you release the mouse. (it will flash like you took a snapshot)Go to the PowerPoint slide you want to place it in and select edit/paste or control V

The image may appear VERY large on the slide so it may need to be resized to fit your PowerPoint page. To do this easily, move the image over so you can see some of your PowerPoint slide, then use the zoom bar on the bottom right to adjust the slide size view. Resize the image as needed. Then you can go back to fit slide to actual size
