    1. Scenario – Online Pictures
      • Students download a photograph from a Web site and use it in their multimedia presentation.
      Is this a copyright violation?
    2. Scenario – Podcast Reading Help
      • To encourage reading, a teacher has students record a podcast of their favorite children’s book and posts them on the class web site.
      Is this a copyright violation?
    3. Scenario – The Web site
      • A Web savvy student creates your school’s Web site.
      • The principal finds information that he considers controversial and has the system’s technician remove it from the site..
      Has he violated copyright?
    4. Scenario – Recording Videos
      • A teacher records a copy of An Inconvenient Truth on HBO to show her science class.
      Is this a copyright violation?
    5. Scenario – The Mural
      • Parent volunteers create a colorful mural featuring cartoon characters and characters from popular fiction on the wall of the library during the summer.
      Is this a copyright violation ?
    6. Scenario – Fundraiser
      • The PTA videotapes the spring concert. DVDs of the concert are sold to parents and community members as a fundraiser.

    7. Scenario – The Talent Show
      • At a school sponsored talent show, students sing and dance to music. They did not secure permission to use the works. The PTA charges admission to cover their costs.
