  • 3. ANALYTICAL EXPOSITION Communicative Purpose / Social Function : To persuade the reader or listenerthat something is the case
  • 4. Text Organization / Generic Structure : THESIS ARGUMENT(S) ONE IDEA  Point  Elaboration REITERATION RESTATE THE THESIS
  • 5. NoteConsist of three parts but it doesn’t mean three paragraph Thesis = introduces topic and indicates writer’s position Argument consists of : - Point = main point of the arguments - Elaboration = the development of the main point (Not a new reason) Reiteration = restate the writer’s opinion as stated in THESIS so reiteration and thesis has the same idea ( but stated in different way/sentence) The example of ANALYTICAL EXPOSITION next slide !
