Fresh Arts Member Overview 2009 - Presentation Transcript

    1. Fresh Arts Coalition is a collaboration of the most original and thought-provoking arts groups in Houston that includes 25 dance, theatre, literary, musical, visual and cultural arts organizations that have joined together to collectively raise awareness of the size and diversity of the arts in Houston. These distinctive arts-based non-profits make the city’s arts scene one of the most dynamic in the country. 2. WHO WE ARE
    3. FAC exists because its member arts organizations joined together to create a collaborative effort. FAC increases the visibility and awareness of its members through marketing and audience development efforts and by acting as an advocate with appropriate government groups, foundations, corporations and individuals in the local community. FAC creates a forum for members of visual and performing arts groups to exchange collaborative ideas. Besides running an up-to-the-minute website , calendar and biweekly email newsletter, FAC creates and distributes 10,000 brochures annually representing member organizations that include a map of all their venues, locations and short biographical information.  FAC places advertisements in numerous print publications, on air and online advertising member organizations.  FAC hosts fall and spring mixers to get to know and introduce member organizations to audiences, businesses, other arts organizations and funders as well as professional development workshops for member organizations to ensure our members’ continued success individually and collectively. FAC strives to collaborate with numerous arts and community organizations as well as businesses in hosting events and cross-promotions to further their presence in the community. FAC is constantly seeking to expand its presence in the Houston arts scene, generate new audiences for member organizations, and increase awareness locally and domestically about Houston’s underground arts organizations.
