ANOTHER THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL... …

ANOTHER THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL...
DATELINE PHOENIX: This has been another week of over 1,000 new jobs posted by the Used Job Shack in an effort to insure that everyone who wants to work will have abundant opportunities and choices.
Uncle Bob was interviewed for the article but declined to comment other than to say that “over 1,000 new jobs, direct hires from desperate employers and endless (walk in the door and get hired) spectaculars happened this week without much fanfare…” We have collected the “still opened” positions here in a last ditch effort to get Real People hired into Real Jobs! The rest is up to you…the ball is in your court. SNOOZE YA LOOSE!

  • 1. THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL DATELINE PHOENIX: This has been another week of over 1,000 new jobs posted by the Used Job Shack in an effort to insure that everyone who wants to work will have abundant opportunities and choices. MASSIVE JOB GIVE-A-WAY! JOBS SO THICK YOU CAN’T BUT WANT TO BE UNEMPLOYED GETTING A JOB HAS NEVER BEEN EASIER THAN NOW!
  • 2. I’M ONE HIP KITTY! I FOUND MY NEW JOB ONLINE AT THE AUNTIE SUE & UNCLE BOB USED JOB SHACK’S NEW WEBSITE! I had a job…but, that dog I worked for chased me to death…I was mad…I was upset…I started to take a nip of catnip to get through a hard day…I was in prison…an economic prison…No time to look for a new job because I was working and I need this job. I was ready to scratch out the old dog’s one good eye…. THEN!!!! I found the Auntie Sue & Uncle Bob USED JOB SHACK’S JOB BOARD. I could go to the bathroom and scan the new jobs on my smart phone, read their insider Intel on my break and call for appointments while at lunch. This is a great place because it told me what I needed to know to get the new job; they even had the questions to be asked at the interview. More importantly, they showed me how to be working and still apply for new jobs without having to take time off. http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Auntie-Sue-Uncle-Bobs-USED-4550 443?trk=my_groups-b-grp-v FREE JOB BOARD OF REAL JOBS FOR REAL WORKING PEOPLE… Click on “SEARCH” if you are not already a member of LinkedIn to see all the jobs in their proper order. • 4. Contract Services Group, Inc. (CSG) is looking for entry-level and experienced housekeeping staff to maintain cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction in our various client properties… ROOM ATTENDANT SCOTTSDALE, AZ FULL-TIME Compensation: $9.25-$9.50 Per Hour with one meal per shift and uniform provided. CSG offers reliable hours with opportunity for advancement. AT LEAST ONE (1) YEAR EXPERIENCE AS A HOTEL ROOM ATTENDANT PREFERRED*. Availability for weekends and/or holidays may be required. * PREFERRED means that they “kind of...want to have...it is on their Santa’s list.” http://jobs.csgcares.com/index.php?m=portal&a=details&jobOrderID=3630738&p ortalID=8571 TIPSTER: What’s wrong with this job description? The way it is written would lead you to believe that other than availability nothing is required. Why when old Uncle Bob qualifies to do this. NOT!!! What they fail to mention is that they do expect you to have the skills and abilities in cleaning to be able to learn how they do it quickly. The employer does not care where you learned to clean but that you do. They will quiz you on the best ways to clean up this mess or that, what product would you use and why. A favorite question is in the proper way to clean a mirror. Since you have been cleaning your home (for many a year) you have an advantage over old Uncle Bob…Take it!

PREFERRED means that they “kind of...want to have...it is on their Santa’s list.” TIPSTER: How to prepare for the interview is to understand that the interview questions breakdown into three sections: "How would you clean this?" "Availability." "How well you play with others?" http://jobs.csgcares.com/index.php?m=portal&a=details&jobOrderID=3636006&p ortalID=8571 51-6011.00 Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Workers http://www.onetonline.org/find/match/1/51-6011.00?s=laundry 37-2012.00 Maids and Housekeeping Cleaners http://www.onetonline.org/find/match/1/37-2012.00?s=room%20cleaner 51-6011.00 Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Workers http://www.onetonline.org/find/match/2/51-6011.00?s=room%20cleaner =======================================================

  • 46. ================================================================== SPECIAL ISSUE: COSTCO! “…GETTING A JOB HERE IS NOT FOR THE LAZY APPLICANT…” Most people who apply at Costco will NEVER hear from the regarding their application. In fact 8 out of 10 will not get an interview and from there 1 person MAY get an offer. WOW! That’s tuff! It is impossible to get a job there right? It is impossible ONLY if you don’t know the secret(s) to getting your application seen and thus becoming one of the two that actually get considered. This is not for the faint hearted, those who have (be nice) lazy job seeking skills or those who totally believe that their “KILLER RESUME” is magical and it is soooo good that it can open any door or get them any job…these will be some of those 8 out of ten applicants who don’t get interviewed and the surely won’t be the one hired. Is it that hard? No…but, you must be willing to set-a-side that killer resume and start from scratch. First thing you need to know is… RULE # FOUR

If you are a college kid looking for you first corporate gig, then it is to your benefit to show up looking like this. IF YOU ARE A REAL PERSON LOOKING FOR A REAL JOB…then, this is your version of “Dress for Success.” In many occupations, this would be over dressing and might hinder you in getting a job with a company where “Dress for Success” is blue jeans and a non-logo Tee-Shirt. Do you see the difference? DON’T WEAR A SUIT TO HOME DEPOT!
  • 48. WHAT DOES “A” GAME MEAN? Your “A” Game means that you prepared for this interview and that starts back at doing the application correctly using RULE # 4 and its formula for getting the full job description (from employer or from ONET), tearing it apart for key words and phrases which then you immigrate into your actual job description to insure that you are covering the skills and abilities that the employer needs (not necessarily what you have done – what you have done is not important if the employer doesn’t want or need. Do not confuse experience, job titles with skills and abilities). Create a narrative utilizing the phrases, words and abilities (that the employer is looking for) so that it is an easy and understandable read. Now transfer this narrative from your application back into your job descriptions on your resume – so now you know what you have? You have a Killer Resume for the job that you are applying for and it perfect matches up with all the skills and abilities that the employer is going to hire. The next step in preparing you “A” Game is to do your homework! You need to invest 10-20-30 or whatever you need to research the following questions:  “Who are they?’  “What do they do?”  “Why do they do everything the way that they do?”  “Where do I fit into this picture?” (The job you applied for and how well you meet the employer’s standards) It is critical to know enough about the company (not just a fact or two) to be able to carry on an intelligent conversation about the questions above. The first and last question that will be asked is “Tell me what you know about my company?” If the job is a restaurant, then print out and commit to memory the menu. This is critical because the largest part of your training (if hired) is to teach you they menu. If you already know the menu, how much training will you need? Get it now? Dress to your own version of “dress for success” which is for most entry or re-entry jobs going to be AZ Casual (khakis and polo shirt on the formal side or clean jeans and a non-logo Tee- shirt for laborer positions.” Finally, realize that you are now prepared with you “A” GAME, you have assembled an impressive argument(s) as to the fact that you are who/what the employer was looking for. TAKE A DEEP BREATH! The bottom line now, is that the employer now needs you MORE than you need them. If because of this prep, you are the full package, WHY WOULD THEY LET YOU WALK? Why wouldn’t they make an offer? GOOD HUNTING!
