Turn in an application, andhope to get an interview. Most quick service restaurants (in my experience)look for availability as a filter. Make sure you have availability on your
  • application that meets what the job is looking for, but be honest so as notto lead on the interviewer.Do not call to check on applications during busy times(lunch rush between 11am and 1:30 pm, dinner rushbetween 5:30 and 7:30pm) as most times the hiringmanager will put your application in the no pile.GET THE APPLICATION AND TURN IT IN IN PERSON.Dont use the drive through, and dont have your friend turn it in.If you have a basic ability to follow instructions, any experience, actprofessionally and have sidestepped most of these pitfalls I mentionedabove, you are likely to get an interview, which is a basic "tell me aboutyourself, a time you did something good/bad and how you fixed it/what didyou learn" interview.Interview Question –Tell me about a mistake you made on the job?-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SERVICE CHAMPION AT TACO BELL - ACCEPTED OFFER – MAY 25Interview Details –Very brief, Hospitable, and laid back. The Manager isreally just looking for a friendly face with an upbeat personality.MOST TIME GETS HIRED ON THE SPOT; IT ALL JUST DEPENDS ONTHE MANGER.Interview Question –The most difficult part of the job is dealing withshift leaders who take advantage of their leadership role and overly try toact like management.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------TEAM MEMBER AT TACO BELL - ACCEPTED OFFER – MAY 13, 2013Interview Details –I applied online and received a call a couple weekslater telling me I had an interview tomorrow. I arrived about 10 minutesearly. The manager came over and interviewed me at one of the tables. Heasked me some simple questions about my experience, my availability, howI would get there, what tasks Id be willing to do, how friendly I am, etc.He then brought over a written application which I filled out and returnedto him. He told me to get some non-slip shoes and call him in a fewdays to see when I could start.Interview Question –There were no difficult or unexpected questions.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • CREW MEMBER AT TACO BELL - ACCEPTED OFFER –APR 27, 2013Interview Details –It was one interview. It has very brief and mostlyabout previous experience. They expect you to come looking clean andready for work. They look for team players, so if you are a lone wolf or a"minimum management" kind of person this isnt the job for you. Some ofthe Interviewers may be touchy as shifts in fast food can be very stressful.Do not take their anger or being upset as an indication of your interview. They will require you to take a small math test in order to operatethe front end. It isnt hard for most people, but if your bad at math youmay want to brush up the day before.USUALLY, I HAVE NOTICED SINCE WORKING THERE THAT A FIRMHANDSHAKE AND A SMILE WILL GET YOU A CALL.After being hired, you attend orientation at a different building. Verysimple.Interview Question –There were no difficult questions.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------TEAM MEMBER AT TACO BELL - ACCEPTED OFFER – APR 3, 2013Interview Details –I walked in and asked for an application. I filled outthe application at home and turned it in the next day(Saturday).Asked for the manager shook hands. He asked me a few questions like if Iwas 18 and I told him yes, and my transportation, asked about my priorwork experience, and other questions like that. The hiring manager told me that he was going to call me in a week but ifhe didnt he said to call him. He never called me so in a week I called him.He told me to come in for an interview on Wednesday at 11 am.I went and he wasnt there. I waited for over an hour. There were 2 otherpeople waiting for their interviews as well.He came and talked to the first two guys who were dressed really casual.I am a female and I wore a skirt with tights and a nice button downblouse.ONE OF THE GUYS GOT HIRED ON THE SPOT.I was sitting there waiting for my turn. He came up to me and i shook hishand and we sat down.He didnt ask the usual interview questions. He asked questions like transportation, hours I can work, days I can work, what I did at my last job.He told me a lot about the restaurant and what they need.He mentioned about the franchise company and I was like oh you meanYUM?
  • HE WAS IMPRESSED AND ASKED ME WHAT ELSE I KNEW ABOUTTHE COMPANY I TOLD HIM THAT THE FOUNDER OF TACO BELL ISGLEN BELL, TACO BELLS KEY TO SUCCESS IS C.H.A.M.P.S.I told him exactly what it stood for: Cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, maintenance, product quality, and speed of service. He asked me if I had any Qs and I asked him how he likes working thereand how did he get to where he’s at.He then said he was going to give me a call to make an offer, but thenchanged his mind and said he was going to be busy later and offered methe job, i said yes.He asked me for my pants size and shirt size. in one week I go in for myuniform and the next day I start training.I TOLD HIM THAT I READ THE TACO BELL HANDBOOK ANDGOGGLED EVERYTHING.
